Magellen Properties: Staff
Michael Glasser
President, Magellen Properties
A lawyer in his past life, Mike has devoted the past eighteen years to acquiring, managing and renovating multifamily properties in Chicago and in DuPage Counties.
Mike has been involved in several development organizations, including the Chicagoland Apartment Association, and he has devoted considerable amount of time and energy in the past decade as a founding member and as President of the Rogers Park Builders Group.
Mike is proud father of three children, all of whom are becoming wonderful young adults, and his dog, Shorty, who, for some reason, remains fiercely dedicated to him. (See Shorty description, below.)
Kelly Hardin
Magellen Properties Office Manager, Manager, Ardmore & Villa
Kelly serves many functions for Magellen Properties: executive property manager of the Villa Garden and Ardmore Garden Apartments, and office manager for Magellen Properties.
Anyone who knows Kelly knows of her fierce dedication and passion for her job, and her steadfast commitment to providing her residents clean, quality apartments and high quality service.
Kelly continually seeks to improve herself through continuing education: in 2006 he earned a title as Illinois licensed Real Estate Broker, and earlier in 2007 she earned the CAM designation (Certified Apartment Manager) through the Chicago Apartment Assoc.
Robert Beyer
Resident Manager, Kenmore Park
Robert Beyer has proudly served as resident manager of the Kenmore Park Apartments since 1990.
Always a fierce advocate for the building's tenants, Bob also serves other functions for Magellen's other properties.
Bob is a proud father of three and grandfather of five, and his other accomplishment of note is that he nearly bowled a 300 game one evening a few years back!
Kathryn Fitzpatrick
Resident Manager, Wheaton Court
Kathryn has dedicately served Wheaton Court's tenants with her deep commitment for customer service since 1996.
Kathryn is a native New Englander who comes to us from the state of Conneticut. She has a varied background having been employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglass, McGraw-Hill Publishing and Marriott Hotels.
Kathryn likes to work hand in hand with our professional landscapers and enjoys keeping the property inviting and attractive with all types of flowers, seasonal items, and the like, which is a special hobby of hers.
Magellen Properties awarded Kathryn with the Ellen Glasser Memorial Award in 2001 as a testament to her outstanding work for the company.
Charlie Didrickson
Resident Manager, Birchwood Manor
Former Rogers Park business owner, Charlie Didrickson is a long time Rogers Park resident with a rare committment to developing involvement and opportunity througout the entire neighborhood. He manages Birchwood Manor Apartments with great care and personal attention. When not working Charlie shoots digital photography for his company 63 Images (www.63images.com).
Shorty Glasser
Company mascot
As mascot for Magellen Properties, and constant companion of Magellen President Michael Glasser, Shorty keeps stern guard of Magellen's offices in Chicago and in Villa Park, and he has personally sniffed and interviewed many prospective tenants, and also inspected many an apartment renovation.
Asked what he thinks of his job as firm mascot, Shorty offers a succinct reply: "RUFF!"
